A quick bit of self-promotion, which I rarely do but felt like this was a worthy time to break that trend.
Patrick Wang is one of the most fascinating and important filmmakers of the 21st century, and I was able to sing his praises once again on the occasion of his work being screened in the U.K. for the first time. This is probably the third or fourth time I’ve been given such an opportunity, and his films still surprise me with their epic intimacy.
My career-spanning essay for Little White Lies is now online, and Patrick’s films can be watched via streaming and VOD here in the U.S. Please give the full essay a read and Patrick’s films a view. Here’s his website and Twitter handle for good measure.
